Writer's Workshop
We read a book called “Round and Round the Seasons Go.” We talked about the four seasons of the year, and I drew pictures on the board that match each season, such as snow for the winter. Then, students drew their own pictures on their own “Four Seasons” wheel. After drawing pictures, they colored their wheels and cut them out.

Mandarin Class
For Mandarin Class, students cut out the Pororo characters they colored last week. The Mandarin teacher, Ms. Jung, taped a straw on the back of each student’s Pororo character. Then, the students used their Pororo character to say “Ni hao” (hello) and “zài jiàn” (goodbye) to each other. Students went around the classroom and greeted each other with their Pororo characters.

Special Activity
This week for special activity, we are teaching the seasons and the weather. We discussed with the students how to interpret the weather. First, we sang the weather song. Then, we had students match weather words with weather pictures. We also had students differentiate between hot, warm, mild, cool, freezing, and cold.
